Dried Sobolo/Hibiscus leaves
Ginger
Mint leaves
Cinnamon
Cloves (pepee)
Pineapple or orange
Sugar
Vanilla Essence
PREPARATION
Step 1: Bring water to a boil and pour over
Hibiscus/Sobolo leaves in a large bowl. Add Cinnamon and mint leaves (if you
wish)
Step 2: Let brew for 20-30 minutes (longer if
you'd like) until you see a deep red color
Step 3: Once brewed, drain hibiscus leaves
squeezing out all the liquid from the leaves (you may toss leaves as you won't
need them again or keep them for a garnish later)
Step 4: Blend Ginger and Cloves sieve and add
the juice to the Sobolo.
Step 5: In a separate bowl, pour sugar and 2-3 tbsp.
of boiling water (just enough to melt the sugar. Add melted sugar to sobolo
drink along with pineapple juice.
Step 6: Whisk together until all ingredients
are combined.
Add Vanilla Essence(If you wish)
