How to produce rice milk from your home as cow milk alternative

If you are going to run a commercial rice milk production, then you will have to add other supplements that are lacking such as calcium, niacin, vitamin B12, vitamin A, vitamin D and iron.

How To Produce Rice Milk For Home (Instead of buying milk again, use this for your family)
  • 1/2 cup brown rice
  • 2 cups water
  • Pinch of salt
  • Honey, maple syrup, white sugar, or other sweetener to taste (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Directions:
There have been two methods of making rice milk, but it has been proven than the soaked one is sweater. You could add variations to this recipe such as cocoa powder or cinnamon or nutmeg to the rice and water before blending

1, In a dry skillet toast rice under a very medium heat, while stirring it until it starts coloring. You This will take about 5 minutes.

2. Transfer it to a bowl or jar while you add two cups of water and leave for up to 9 hours. This is to allow it to soak.

3. Pour the rice and water into blender, add your sweeteners such as salt, vanilla and sugar(if desired) and blend at highest setting until rice grains are no longer visible. This should be about 2 minutes.

4. Using any  clean strainer or nut milk bag, drip the milk into a clean storage especially glass and chill before serving.

Remember to shake it before each use.
